
I’ve been playing with Google Earth to plot out the best location for our driveway. There are several things to consider. The shorter the better in case we decide to pave it. I’m really hoping it won’t be too steep for the average passenger car to navigate. We may have to pave it in the steeper sections and the parking lot and leave the beginning as gravel. It looks like it costs about $10/sq ft for asphalt. The driveway plotted above is 261 feet long. At 10 feet wide this comes to 2611 sq feet or $26,110.00. It would be great to pave everything but we’ll have to see how the budget falls into place. The driveway is one factor that is variable as we have several options.
